Dr. EVE EDELSTEIN, PhD, F-AAA

Dr. Edelstein, is CEO of Neuro-Architecture, LLC. Eve is a “neuro-architect” offering a cross-disciplinary approach that engages leaders and experts in clinical practice, education and research to inform the design of their facilities. Eve applies her clinical practice & design research that includes a Ph.D. completed with Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery, University College London, at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, a full professional M.Arch. and thesis entitled ‘Translational Design’ at the NewSchool of Architecture & Design, and a B.A. in Anthropology at the University California, Berkeley.

Dr. Edelstein is faculty of Pratt Institute, the University of Venice Neuroscience Applied to Architecture & Design Master Program, Founder and faculty at Clinicians for Design, and Building Blocks for Clinicians. Eve is a Board member of the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture. Eve is on the Advisory Board of the European Congress for Healthcare Design.

Eve contributed to award-winning buildings and designs including the University of Cincinnati Neuroscience Institute, master plans for the University of California San Francisco Neuroscience Institute, and the First Peoples Hospital in China along with Higher and K-12 educational facilities serving neurodiverse and neurotypical students, as well as urban, and residential projects.

Dr. Edelstein led the AIA COVID-19 Front Line Task Force, and contributed to the AIA’s Alternate Healthcare Guidelines published world-wide.

Dr. Edelstein’s design-based research includes noovel augmented Visual Virtual Reality and Sound Simulations for the University of California San Diego Jacobs Medical Tower, Stanford University, University Houston Texas and the HxLab at Perkins+Will.

Eve is a keynote speaker, workshop and thought-leader for clients, owners, users and design practices.
